The Taft School - Donaldson Tennis Pavillions
This unique project resulted in an elegant, coherent expression of distinctive architecture and landscape; the two new tennis viewing pavilions are anchored to the site both visually and literally. As part of the renovation of the entire tennis complex, Towers|Golde worked closely with the school and its architect to address the challenges of purposefully siting one of the new structures on a very steep slope so as to maximize sight lines to the tennis courts. Additionally, T|G’s planting approach further unified the complex by using shrub masses, trees and groundcovers to create a timeless foundation for both new and older structures.
