“The Jeff” is a newly restored historic inn on the Town Common and at the edge of the Amherst College campus. T|G recaptured the legendary charm of this village landmark while adding new hospitality amenities like entertaining terraces and a focal tent lawn for major outdoor events, connections to Alumni House for facilitated College use, parking, and a new frontage on the Common for a more gracious public image.  Sustainability considerations required close collaboration to incorporate a new geothermal system.
