A student residence with apartment style living for upperclassmen, the building was sited in an existing parking area. Site work involved remediating the site from parking area to green space. Located at the nexus of several key pedestrian circulation routes, careful planning of pathways and creation of a new major outdoor space were the landscape architect’s primary contributions. The plan seamlessly integrates these routes into the context of the new dorm. The site improvements include decorative concrete paving with unit paver banding, pedestrian lighting and bike racks, based on the campus landscape standards established by T|G.
