This 122,000 sf state of the art science laboratory building houses the biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy and meteorology departments. In addition to classrooms, the facility includes research laboratories, lecture auditoria, a greenhouse, an observatory, and the WCSU Weather Center. T|G was involved in the site analysis and selection process.

A primary landscape design element was an ornamental grass garden which grounded the building in the landscape in a sustainable manner, visually connecting it to the conifer garden beyond. The pathway and banding of the ornamental grass extend the eye into the landscape from the main common space inside the building. Sustainable stormwater treatment measures were employed and paved areas were minimized. Design features also included pedestrian and vehicular access, entry plazas, building service areas, and site furnishings.
