Peter J. Werth Residence Tower, University of Connecticut
As the first project under the ambitious Next Generation Connecticut program, the Peter J. Werth Residence Tower aims to expand the educational and living-learning opportunities for science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) disciplines at the University.

The placement of the eight-story, 210,000 square-foot structure onto the hillside site required careful consideration of grading in order to achieve an accessible connection to the campus, and to visually ground the building into the hillside. The site and planting design complement not only this residence tower, but further unite the other Hilltop buildings into a cohesive residential campus, complete with a central exterior gathering place and numerous opportunities for outdoor activities and engagement.
