2014 YNHH Winchester Playground Ribbon Cutting
The play area for the Children's Psychiatric In-patient Services at Yale New Haven Hospital has been renovated into a colorful magnet for active use thanks to Towers|Golde's redesign to create a safe, but challenging play environment from a previously worn and precarious site. An economical yet effective transformation of space was achieved using a less-is-more design. A bright, colorfully patterned, resilient surface inspires the playful nature of a child. The redesign helps reinforce the ideals of childhood in what may otherwise be an unfamiliar environment to these young patients.
