Residential Quadrangle, Landscape Master Plan - Fairfield University
Towers|Golde’s Landscape Master Plan outlining the long term vision for the University’s physical environment identified the immediate priority as the Residential Quadrangle, a long neglected open space enclosed by a cluster of underclassman dormitories. The first phase implementation was the re-envisioning of the Residential Quadrangle into welcoming accessible space that promotes activity and supports living and learning,
T|G’s plan organization and re-grading creates intimate spaces and draws students together with unique opportunities for impromptu gathering along a far more efficient circulation system. Lush plantings and use of native stone add to the intimacy and the identity of the otherwise sterile housing.
