As Campus Landscape Architects at Wesleyan, Towers|Golde developed several long-term landscape improvement plans to strengthen the sense of connection between the different parts of the campus. These made recommendations on issues of campus structure, circulation, plantings, property acquisition, maintenance, and site vocabulary. These issues were then addressed as part of a broader strategic planning process which integrated physical planning with academic and financial planning. Towers|Golde was responsible for the site planning and landscape design component of that effort.
Enhanced social space, circulation clarity, and general campus aesthetics were addressed over the course of more than a decade. Additionally, specific building related projects included the new Admissions Office, new Fauver Dormitories, the Freeman Athletic Center as well as the phased implementation of The Village district renovations.
